If you shook your head into a no, this article is for you. In this article, I am going to give a job description of eight jobs in the health fitness & sports industry that are proven to be the most satisfactory. Ready?

  1. Physical Education Teacher:
Students commonly call them as a P.E teacher or a gym teacher. These teachers usually have done a certified course in physical education or athletic training. They give theoretical and practical knowledge about fitness, health and sports to the students. Their daily schedules are decided upon the school’s syllabus pattern, but usually they take one hour class daily. They start by teaching daily good habits, proper meals, and common exercises good for their body growth. Then, they move on to training kids for numerous sports they want to participate in, including basketball, football, cricket, gymnastics, tennis etc. They also teach kids some other values like discipline, being a team player, leadership skills in sports etc. Physical Education teachers make good money and have satisfactory schedules. If along with your passion for fitness, you love kids, this job is definitely for you.

  1. Nutritionist:
A nutritionist’s job is to advise people in the matters of food and nutrition, and how it impacts their overall health. They also decide people’s daily meals, calorie intakes, dos and don’ts in matters of food etc. If people have specific chronic diseases, they prepare customized diet plans for them in that case. A diet plan of someone with obesity and someone with diabetes will have differences. Nutritionist can be of a few types: dietician-nutritionist, sports nutritionist, personal nutritionist etc. A smart nutritionist would be able to help their clients with whatever food problem they are facing. Usually, nutritionist have a certified course in diet programs, nutrition management etc. They can be self-employed or work in hospitals, clinics, spa-centres, gyms and sports clubs. This is one of the highest paying jobs in the fitness & health industry.

  1. Personal Trainer:
Being a personal trainer is the new ‘trending’ job in health & fitness industry. A personal trainer can have a varying degree of knowledge of general fitness involved in exercise prescription and instruction. Their job is to listen to their clients’ problems about fitness, make a plan to overcome those problems and implement the plan with daily follow-up of exercises and suitable diets. Trainers measure their clients’ strengths and weaknesses, triggers etc. to help them achieve their fitness goals. Personal trainers can either work independently or work in gyms and health clubs. Their salary is usually decided upon the kind of training they are providing to a specific client.

Physical therapists own a professional degree in physiotherapy and are highly educated and experienced in the field. They help their patients recover from an injury by developing a plan, and using treatment techniques to provide aid to patient’s body movements. In many injury cases, physical therapy works better than medical therapy. So, these physiotherapists help their patients do some general exercises that can make their body function normally again. They usually work in hospitals, medical centres, health agencies, sports facilities or sometimes independently too. They earn a lot due to the technical knowledge and experience, and the medical aid they provide.

  1. Gym Owner:
Being a gym owner is probably the simplest jobs of these all, while still earning a lot. For being a gym owner, you can just have a certified course of general fitness and exercise. But more than that, you need to have knowledge about start-ups and businesses. To be smart about it, you need to have a clear idea of the framework of your gym. This means deciding the business structure, the kind of exercises you will promote, the area you will establish it in etc. Also, you must appoint trainers who have enough knowledge and experience in training & exercise. If the gym ends up becoming a successful one, you would be one of the few to live your dream and earn well.

For doing this, you must be certified in any general fitness course, diet & nutrition course etc. and you get paid well according to the magazine’s popularity. This job is convenient for people who want to follow their passion and keep their full-time job as this is part-time only.

They choose their method of training themselves but it always requires discipline, hard work and determination. Alia Bhatt Fitness Secrets

Blog by : Anushka Jain

Alia Bhatt is considered one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood, earning her name and success in only a few movies. Her acting skills are remarkable and so is her beauty. She has curves in all the right places and knows how to flaunt them. But did you know that wasn’t always the case? When she signed her first movie “Student of the Year” with Karan Johar, she was a really chubby teen. She used to weigh 68 Kg and had a ton of extra fat on her. She was not a gym person and neither did she ever compromise her food. But as acting in movies was her dream since she was four, she knew she had to get in shape in order to reach the top. When Karan Johar asked her to lose weight before starting the shooting of SOTY, it hurt her but she took it as a challenge. Her journey started from that very day. She went on a strict diet, worked out like anything. Within three months, she lost 16 Kg. And today, she is a fitness freak with a smoking hot body!

Let us find out how she went from the chubby girl to this fit diva. Here, we will not only discuss her fitness tips but also everything she follows in her fitness schedule – from her diet plan to her work out plan.

There are some things she always follows in order to stay fit:

  • Work hard: your goal should always be on your mind. For three months, Alia thought of nothing but wanting to lose 16 Kg. Her dedication, devotion and determination were unyielding. And it was all fruitful. The look on everyone’s faces when they saw her in her perfect curves in SOTY must have been worth it! Working hard is her mantra not only in fitness but also in her career. She shows the same dedication there, and we can already see the results everywhere, can’t we?
  • Listen to your body: she always listens to her body in terms of food. She does follow a strict diet plan but she also doesn’t starve herself. Whenever her body feels hungry, she gives it a little something. Whenever she is shooting, she carries tiffin with her that has egg whites, fruits, chicken, stir fried veggies and chaas.
  • Skip oil: Oil is your enemy when you are trying to stay fit. So, never include oil in your daily meal. Even in your rotis, add minimal oil or no oil. And you will see the change really quickly.
  • Cardio: want to lose extra fat really fast? Do a lot of cardio! Alia does cardio activities 40 to 50 minutes every day. She says if your extra fat doesn’t go away because of your diet, it will quickly burn because of your cardio.
  • Proper Rest: Exercising is important but so is proper rest. Alia tell us that if you don’t give your body time to recharge, you will exhaust yourself and end up making your body weak.
  • Drink a lot of water: She tells us the importance of water, suggesting us to drink plenty of water in order to stay healthy. It keeps us hydrated, recharges us, is good for the skin etc.
  • Proper timing: One of the things she strictly follows is the time of her meals. She has her breakfast, lunch and dinner at proper time. Especially dinner should be had at least 2 hours before dinner for proper digestion.
  • No sugar: Sugar is your second enemy when trying to lose weight. She tells us that she has a sweet tooth but she still resists herself from having too much sugar in anything.
  • Fibrous food: Alia asks us to give more weightage to fibrous food as it helps in controlling our blood sugar levels. It also lowers cholesterol levels and adds in achieving a healthy weight.
  • Exercise: Her last tip tells us to give full weightage to exercise. Set small and achievable goals but don’t take them lightly. Always give your best in any exercise you are attempting. Soon, they will get easy for us and we’ll start enjoying them.

Her fitness tips are unique and useful. But now comes a more important part of her fitness secrets – her diet plans. To keep herself as gorgeous as she is, she has given up her carbs, sugar, oil, junk food etc. But she never starves herself. Instead, she eats eight meals a day.

Let us see how she does that:

Breakfast: she believes in having a rich breakfast. It includes bread toast, cornflakes, a bowl of poha, and an egg white sandwich. Then, she takes her tea or coffee without sugar.

Mid-morning: a glass of vegetable juice and a fruit / an idli with a bowl of sambhar.

Lunch: she takes the Indian lunch – dal, roti and vegetables but without oil. She strictly avoids rice.

Mid-evening: she has any healthy fruit at this time with a tea or coffee without sugar.

Dinner: she has the typical dinner too – roti, dal, vegetables without oil, a small bowl of rice, a piece of chicken breast.

With a diet plan that healthy, how can she not have a body like that? It is a wonder how she is so dedicated to everything she does. But her favourite part hasn’t come up yet – exercising! Working out is the best part of her day. She can’t believe she didn’t use to exercise before. Now, she cannot manage a day without that. Mainly, her formula is a mixture of cardio, weight training, dancing and yoga exercises.

  • Work out: Running on the treadmill, weight training, altitude training, beach running, swimming, kick-boxing, dumbbell, push-ups, lateral pull-ups, bicep curls, triceps push down, crunches, back extensions, lunges, and squats.
  • Dancing: she loves to dance and spends her time dancing if she is not doing any work out on that day.
  • Yoga: Alia is very much fond of doing yoga. She believes it is the healthiest form of exercising. She is mostly inclined towards asthanga yoga. She is very good at it because of her strength and flexibility. She also likes to perform anti-gravity yoga like sirsasana. Other asanas she performs are: chakrasana, Bhujangasana, surya namaskar, pranayama, meditation etc.

Apart from all of these secrets, she also shares with us that it is okay to have a day of weakness. She also sometimes cheats her plans and has her favourite dishes like noodles, aloo fried cooked by her mother or chaat. But after that day, she also makes sure to get back on track the very next day by her detox diet – doodhi, juice, sprouts and lime water.

Alia believes that everybody can be brought to their right sizes and be fit. She also says that being your right body type is the key. It is not about having big biceps or washboard abs. She calls being fit the new sexy! Well, we do agree with her on that!

Even superstars have their moments of weaknesses but they always carry their dedication with them. If you were thinking till now that you cannot have a body like your favourite Badri ki Dulhania, then you’re wrong! After all, even she was just a normal chubby girl with big dreams. She found her way to fitness. You can, too!

The Ace – Vijendra Singh

Blog By : Ipsa Singh

“DECIDE. COMMIT. CONQUER.”

Vijendra Singh Beniwal, an Indian professional boxer was born on 29th October 1985 in Rewari, Haryana.

He is the first ever Indian to win a medal at Olympics in boxing. He is that iron rod, who has been beaten by time and molded into an ornament in the crown of India. He is an extremely humble human, and strives to be a perfectionist. His approach towards life is very simple. Even after achieving so much n life he stands without any greed and arrogance like any other ordinary being.

He belongs to a very poor family. His financial situation couldn’t stop him from making his dreams come true. He outlaws a myth that only rich people are entitled of glorious, wealthy, and a promising future. He proves that hard-work and dedication isn’t defines by your financial status, it is something an individual is born with and enhances his skill with it, in order to become a successful individual.

He became a boxing enthusiast by following in the foot steps of his elder brother, who himself wanted to become a boxer but got himself employed in the Indian army. Vijendera Singh also turned to modelling for part time to incur money. He is an example of what you can call “glory of struggle.”

He got his first recognition after winning a medal at state-level competition. Then led to the chain of success in sub-junior nationals in 1997 and 2000 by winning gold and silver medals.  It was in 2003 that his career as a boxer took a shoot when he won a silver medal in the Afro-Asian Games. Commonwealth games (CWG) surely show some favour to him, the ones that were held in Delhi in 2010 proved to be really productive for him as he went on to grab a bronze medal followed by a gold in Guangzhou Asian Games.

Soon his boxing style, hooks, and cuts were compared and contrasted with Rocky in the Rocky film series. Since then he won a lot of medals along with some outings at some international events.

Undoubtedly vijender singh is a maestro in India. He is not only bringing the laurels in India but also woking hard to enlighten and guide the young talent in the field of boxing in India. He recently won the WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight title after defeating China’s Zulpikar Maimaitiali. He dedicated his win to India-China friendship at the time of tension between the two countries over the infamous Doklam issue which conveys the fact as a clear truth that he is also a responsible citizen of India.

He is the perfect role model  whose footprints the new generation should follow in most of the aspects of life.

Her decision to be a bodybuilder was not an easy one.She was inspired by her husband who is also a bodybuilder but her decision was not happily accepted by her parents who thought why their daughter wanted to become so manly. But her determination and will was so strong that eventually, everyone had to kneel.
The struggle to build her body just began. She knew that it was not easy and would require a lot of hard work and a good diet. She
needed supplements but the resources were not enough to fulfil this passion. But eventually, she got help from her sister-in-law and did a lot of hard work. She started toning her muscles, worked on her flexibility and other technical aspects of bodybuilding.
Every medal she earned paved path for her motivation every single day. She aspires to participate and win the Miss Olympia title, which is one of the highest accolades in the field of female bodybuilding.
It is not easy being a mother to 3 children and an international bodybuilder. But as it is said-“Where there is a will there is a way!”
The undying support from her husband and her sheer determination for bodybuilding has made her today what she is today.
The constant stares and the criticism do not deter this iron lady. She is an inspiration for everyone who is oppressed by patriarchy and wants to shine.

Why Choose BFY?

Many people ignores the certification in fitness which they later on feels a mistake by them however for certification you need 18+ age but it doesn’t mean you will join for certification after completing. Certification is all about your knowledge which can be used at higher level as well which may be bigger than your dream like becoming an international team’s trainer. When we asked Jugal about choosing BFY his fair answer was getting certification “There was no reason to choose the BFY. Someone told me about the BFY certification so i have joined”. BFY is oldest in India and they have big responsibility to make sure everyone getting certified well.

Advises for others?

Because BFY is old many people trust on BFY. When faculty is good everyone prefers referring to their friends and relatives as well. Same thing happens in BFY after just some batches we started getting many references as well. When we asked Jugal about his advises to join BFY he said “I advised my friend to complete their certification from BFY because it’s very trusted and genuine university”. When you are old people trust you as well and that is when the real risk you bear the margin of error become small.

Future Plans?

WhatsApp Image 2017-12-18 at 1.34.30 PM.jpeg

Everyone knows ACE (American Council on Exercise) is the international university for fitness studies and guidance . No wonder Jugal wants to join ACE as well after completing here. Get certified from BFY then join ACE. At least you will be prepared for the exam. “I will complete my ace certificate from the Delhi Centre.” Told by Jugal to BFY. In life you are always learning. No wonder Jugal wants as well. And want to Increase his level of learning as well.

What advice you will give to others to enter this industry?

Like we mentioned earlier in fitness getting certified is important or you can say must. It will open many ways for you. “Complete certification if you want to be in fitness industry.” Statement by Jugal Kishore is real life thing as well. Get better in your field and you can reach many heights.
