The 30-year-old Sardar made his debut in 2006 against Pakistan and since then he has played more than 200 international matches and has flourishingly contributed towards Indian hockey.

His journey from a keen learner to an inspirational skipper has seen many successes where he has played a vital role for the team. As a senior player and captain, he is a hero and a mentor, whom young players look up to and would like to follow the footsteps.

For the love of fitness and his health, Sardar Singh has taken up NDTV-Nirmal Marks For Sports 100 Day Fitness Challenge. Speaking to NDTV he decoded his fitness secrets. This is what makes this world’s hero, fit and fabulous!

#Fitness Tip 3: To build weak muscles one should focus on core-strengthening exercises. Doing core strength exercises every day helps strengthen your core muscles, including your abdominal muscles, back muscles and the muscles around the pelvis. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many physical activities.
