India’s last competitor of day seven at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Kidambi Srikanth made sure that he ends on a good note in the badminton men’s singles.
Srikanth, the only Indian in men’s singles began his Olympics journey with a win on Thursday.
Up against Mexico’s Lino Munoz, the ninth seed dominated the game and eased to a 21-11, 21-17 win in 41 minutes.
With this, India singles players maintained a perfect record for the first day in what was a mixed day for the Indian shuttlers in badminton.
