Rio Olympics 2016: Indian Women’s Archery team enters Quarterfinals

India women’s archery team progressed to the quarterfinals of the recurve competition after beating Colombia 5-3 in a nailbiter.
India won the first set 52-51 but lost the second 49-50.

The two teams were level 52-52 in the third set.

In the deciding set, Colombia were hurt by the second last arrow which could only produce a poor 3 after India had scored 52 when going first.

In the end, Colombia scored 44 to lose the close round.

Next up for India and the team of Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi and Laxmirani Majhi will be Russia in the quarterfinals.
