Anaheim: H.S.Prannoy clinched the U.S.Open badminton series beating P.Kashyap of India in the final. Prannoy defeated Kashyap in the 65 minutes game. He defeated Kashyap for 21-15, 20-22 ans 21-12. It was a tough game between the Indian guys in the final. It was Prannoy’s first U.S. grand prix gold.
Both Prannoy and Kashyap will climb up in the world rankings. H.S.Prannoy got 9000$, while the runner-up Kashyap got only 4560$ in his account. In the first set Kashyap had a lead of 7-1, but Prannoy performed well and leveled the score and snatched the first set.
Prannoy entered the final by defeating the Vietnam’s Tien Minh Nguyen for 21-14 21-19. Kashyap played a hard match with Korean Kwang Hee Heo to ensure his final. He overcame the korean challenge for 15-21 21-15 21-16.
This year, the Indian final was there in many opens. In the Singapore open Sai Praneeth and Srikanth met in the final. In the Syed Modi Grand Prix Sameer Verma and Sai Praneeth met each other.
