Joshna Chinappa proved her grit, stamina and resilience once again on the big stage. After a ligament injury that almost derailed her career in 2012, the 28-year-old stormed back into the circut in an exemplary fashion.

Showing her strength of mind, she embarked on a memorable year of her career that saw her win two WSA titles, the National title and be a key part of India’s success at both the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. Going by the way the World No. 22 was performing at the prestigious Women’s World Squash Championships in December, she should be expected to show some of her never-say-die attitude in 2015 as well.

Joshna Chinappa’s achievements in 2014 –

  • Commonwealth Games women’s doubles gold
  • Asian Games women’s team event silver
  • Winner of Winnipeg Winter Club Open
  • Winner of Richmond Open
  • Winner of National Championships.
