Indian @ Rio Olympic 2016: Atanu Das

Atanu Das is born on 5 April 1992 and is an Indian archer. He is supported by the Olympic Gold Quest. He represents India in the Recurve Men’s Individual and Team events. He made his international debut in 2008. His current world ranking is 67.

Atanu is a promising Indian talent, who started archery at the age of 14 under the coaching of Mithu Da. In 2008, Atanu moved to Tata Archery Academy where he was trained under the Korean coach Lim Chae Wong.

Atanu has won a bronze medal, with Deepika Kumari, in the 2013 World Cup Mixed Team event organized in Colombia. Atanu is currently employed in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Kolkata.
