Bhubaneswar: Indian is leading in the Asian Athletic Championship held in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Yesterday India picked up four golds. India is leading with six golds, three silver and six bronze in the list. China is behind India with four golds, Three silver and Three Bronze. Iran is in third with three gold and one bronze. Kazakhstan stands fourth with One gold, One Silver and One Bronze. Vietnam is in fifth with one gold and one Silver.
Yesterday in the 100m men’s sprint India’s Mohammed Anas won the goal and silver is won by India’s Arokia Rajiv. In the 1500m. Ajay Kumar Saroj came first. In the men’s shot put Tajinderpal Singh got second with throwing 19.77m. Ali Samari of Iran got first in shot put, with throwing 19.80m. In the women’s 100m sprint Dutee Chand got bronze. She completed the 100m by 11.52 seconds.
In 1500 women’s P.U.Chithra came first. In women’s 400m India got both gold and Bronze. Nirmala Sheoran got gold and Jisna Mathew got Bronze.
In the men’s 4*100m relay, Indian team got out in the heats itself. M.R.Poovamma, finished fourth in the 400m race after Jisna Mathew.
