Gritty Woman Sakshi Malik’s Workout Routine & Diet Plan.

Sakshi Malik was born on Septembr 3, 1992 in Mokhra village of Haryana’s Rohtak district to sukhbir, a bus conductor with Delhi Transport Corporation, and Sudesh Malik a supervisor at a local anganwadi (health clinic). According to her father, she was motivated to take up wrestling from seeing her grandfather Badhlu Ram, who was a wrestler. She began training in wrestling at the age of 12 under a coach, Ishwar Dahiya at an akhada in Chhotu Ram Stadium, Rohtak. Her coach and she had to face opposition from the locals for having taken up a sport “not for girls.”

Sakshi Malik is an Indian freestyle wrestler. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won the Bronze Medal in the 58 kg category becoming the first Indian female wrestler to win in Olympics medalist from the country.


She is a part of JSW Sports Excellence Program, along with fellow female wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Babita Kumari Phogat and Geeta Kumari Phogat.

Malik had previously won the Silver Medal in Commonwealth 2014 Games in Glasgow, and the bronze medal at the 2015 Asian Wrestling Championships in Doha.

She always prefers cow’s milk and her monthly diet cost is around Rs. 35,000-40,000. A daily routine for Sakshi’s includes 500 sit-ups and intense training. She has not eaten aaloo parantha, kadi chawal for ages and now she says ” I would love to gorge on her favorite aaloo parantha and kadi chawal. I was mostly on a liquid, carb-free diet. Now I can relax.”

For her, it is all about good sleep and spending some good time at home. May be watching television. She is not chilling out with friends or movies. “I just want to lead a peaceful life. I don’t like to travel around or going out for movies. I have achieved all this because of my struggle for 12 years. Peace is all what I need, that’s enjoyment for me.”

Her daily diet includes almonds, sprouted food. She always prefers cow’s milk.Her daily diet chart includes milk, almonds, sprouted food, fruits, vegetables, raisins, soybean, pulses,pomegranate and sweet lime juice and non-veg food.
