In this budding rat race where people are continuously worried about making their mark in the society ,the stress that they undergo might result in risk of hypertension(high blood pressure) .There is no bar in the age for this disease these days as you can see a person in his early 20s suffering from hypertension as well.Getting some exercise can help you make a big difference and for the people who are already suffering from it ,exercise can help them to control it.

Don’t worry you don’t have to lift weights daily or run a marathon to maintain your blood pressure.Start slow with various physical activities.

High blood pressure and exercise are connected in a way.Regular physical activity makes your heart stronger. A stronger heart can pump more blood with less effort. If your heart can work less to pump, the force on your arteries decreases, lowering your blood pressure.Regular exercise also helps to maintain the body weight, which is one more plus point to maintain your blood pressure.

As,we know slow and steady wins the race so you won’t find that your blood pressure is controlled immediately once you start exercising. It takes about one to three months for regular exercise to have an impact on your blood pressure. The benefits last only as long as you continue to exercise.

Aerobic exercises combined with weight training can give you effective results.Any physical activity that increases your heart and breathing rates is considered aerobic activity, including:

  • Household chores, such as mowing the lawn, raking leaves, gardening or scrubbing the floor
  • Active sports, such as basketball or tennis
  • Jogging
  • Dancing

Weight training can cause a temporary increase in blood pressure during exercise. This increase can be dramatic, depending on how much weight you lift. But weightlifting can also have long-term benefits to blood pressure that outweigh the risk of a temporary spike for most people.

And with all the techniques mentioned above it is also necessary to monitor your blood pressure so that you can keep a a track of how these techniques are helping you.

Thus considering all the benefits that an exercise does to human body ,controlling hypertension is one of them which I hope will help you incline towards exercising more.
