It’s all about the mind-body connection at Soulfest NYC, a feel-good event that’s been billed as New York City’s first yoga and wellness festival. And because it’s community based and meant to empower anyone, at any level, there’s no admission fee. Prominent presenters in disciplines ranging from yoga and dance to meditation know how to motivate the masses, and some do it in both Spanish and English. This event, by nonprofit Movemeant, celebrates “every body” — meaning any shape, any size. We Dare to Bareis just as much about charging up your confidence as it is about getting a good workout in. And, yes, there’s lots of blood pumping to be had, as fitness pros guide you through spin classes and group fitness and cardio dance sessions. What you burn in calories you’ll make up for in inspiration. Wanderlust, Squaw Valley is a choose-your-own-adventure weekend that will pique your senses. Think of Virgin Sport, Oxford as a half-marathon with a side of culture.
